This guide helps you install EnhancePro AI for Mac, get past macOS Gatekeeper, and start upscaling low-resolution videos to HD, 2K or 4K.
Part 1: Install on macOS (Gatekeeper)
macOS may block apps that aren't from the App Store. If you see a "cannot be opened" warning, here's how to allow it:
Open System Settings, then go to Privacy & Security.
Scroll to the security section, click Allow Anyway, then verify your identity. The app is now allowed to run.
Part 2: How to Upscale Videos
Click the Add button, then Open, to import your video files.
Select the output profile from the Profile dropdown, or click Settings to set your target Resolution and Frame Rate. You can also enable denoise and restore.
Choose the output destination and click OK. EnhancePro AI converts the low-resolution video to HD.
Tips for the Best Results
- Denoise first, upscale second for sharper output.
- 1080p is the sweet spot for most screens; 4K for large TVs or archiving.
- Export at a high bitrate (H.264/H.265) to keep the enhanced quality.
For specific scenarios, see our guides: convert low-res video to HD and upscale 480p to 1080p.
How Long Does Upscaling Take?
Processing time depends on source resolution and duration, output quality, your Mac's GPU, and the options selected. As a benchmark, a modern Mac can process about 1 minute of 480p → 1080p in 15–30 minutes.
